We're definitely going to take advantage of the 7.55pm high tide tonight to catch another coastal SUP Club. NW wind isn't so good at Chalkwell or Two Tree, and a neap (4.94m) high is pretty limiting there anyway – so we're going to try out a new venue for a club meet. Meeting at 7pm at Shoebury East Beach (the southern entrance off George Street: nearest postcode SS3 9AD, see https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-6Jv0Dq8VcRItGiTz14-KUiP-EM&usp=sharing ... BE ADVISED there is a 2.1m height limit, which is enough for most vans but probably not for boards on roofracks on vans! There is limited parking outside the gate, or unload before you try to go under...) we'll launch at 7.15pm after a quick briefing and stay close inshore. A couple of laps up to the boom and down past the Garrison should add up to 7km or so – it ought to stay flat there tonight, and could be an ideal venue to go at your own pace and cover a little more / less distance as you like...
