Yorkshire Coast Weekender Sat 20th and Sun 21st

Sat 20th: Saltwick Bay - Saltwick Bay yields excellent ammonite specimens and marine reptile remains, plants and Dinosaur footprints of Jurassic age. Great site for older children (please ask if your unsure if this site is suitable for your child).

Sun 21st: Speeton - The Highly productive Speeton Clay, yields everything from ammonites, fish, shells to Crustaceans. Similar to the famous Folkestone Beds. Also fossils can be found in the boulder and Kimmeridge clays. This is a Cretaceous site 100 MYA very different to our first hunt at Saltwick bay. Suitable for all the Family.
