2013년에 공개한 그의 “O Meu Estilo” 12” 데뷔 음반으로 DJ Nigga Fox는 리스본 프린시페 디스코 크루의 일원으로서 포르투갈 수도에서 자란 유스와 소닉 컬쳐를 설레게 하면서 놀랍게 등장했다. 지난 해 그는 경이로운 넥스트 레벨 12” “Noite e Dia”이란 제목의 음반으로 돌아왔다. 이상하고 광란의 네 트랙이 실린 이 앨범은 겁이 날 정도로 열광적인 댄스플로어의 해방을 가져왔다.

로컬 프로듀서들과 루안다의 음악으로부터 터득한 교훈을 가지고, 쿠두로, 아프로-하우스, 앙골란 딥, tarraxinha, batida 등 몇 년간 들어본 적 없는 가장 신선한 음악으로 이름을 붙일 수 없는 자신만의 하이브리드를 창조해왔다.

또한 Nigga Fox의 “LUMI” 트랙이 Warp Record의 극찬을 받은 바 있는 “Cargaa 1” 리스본 뮤직 컴필레이션에 수록되고, 그의 라이브쇼는 천둥같은 퍼포먼스를 보여준 Sónar Barcelona와 Berghain에서 Arca의 셋 다음에 신화적인 Janus 나잇과, 멕시코시티의 Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo에서 치뤄진 NAAFI Residencia의 전설적인 NYE 퍼포먼스가 있다.

With his “O Meu Estilo” 12” debut release in 2013, DJ Nigga Fox crashed the gates as part of Lisbon’s Principe Discos crew, an exciting youth and sonic culture nurtured out of the Portuguese capital. His follow up last year, the extraordinary and next level 12” entitled “Noite e Dia”, were four tracks so bizarre and delirious they’re almost intimidating yet exuberant in a way that liberates dance floors.

He’s taken all sorts of lessons from local producers, as well as from the tracks coming in from Luanda, and has created his own unnameable hybrid, informed by kuduro, afro-house, Angolan deep, tarraxinha, batida, and created some of the freshest music heard in years.

Nigga Fox also saw the inclusion of his “LUMI” track included on Warp Record’s critically acclaimed “Cargaa 1” Lisbon Music compilation, and his live shows include thunderous performances at Sónar Barcelona, at the Berghain crowd after Arca’s set on a mythical Janus night, and an epic NYE performance at NAAFI Residencia at Fundación Jumex Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City.
