Party: A Night for John: Celebrating the Life and Music of John Stefulj
Main page > Brisbane Jazz Club > A Night for John: Celebrating the Life and Music of John Stefulj
Multi-instrumentalist, John Stefulj, was a towering presence on the Brisbane jazz scene for many years.
His depth of knowledge and his amazing musical ability was highly valued by musicians and students and he contributed to a great many recordings and music projects in the community. His first performance at BJC was at the tender age of 15 and he returned to the Club time and again over the decades.
He lived for music, and would regularly and unselfishly give of his time to help anyone who sought his guidance.
His sudden passing has left our music community in shock and in a state of sadness. This memorial tribute concert and jam session has been organised so that his many friends, colleagues and students can say one final goodbye in the best way possible – through music.
This will be a chance to remember, laugh, cry and to play in his honour, so please come along for one very special night.
Vale, John Stefulj.
