One of the most promising young producers currently emerging, Artifact's early forays into production were influenced by the contrasting flavours of the Bristol scene and the diversity of sounds found there. Further defined by a year spent studying in Cologne, his sound matured into lauded releases for Deadplate, Local Action and Rebirth.

Melding together elements of bass, swing techno and analogue house, Artifact's style is already inimitable - often dark, percussive, propulsive; at times intricate, melodic and groove led, but always possessing of that extra something to push his name above the parapet.

He's already received praise from Mosca and Mary Anne Hobbs - the former naming him a 2012 producer to watch and the latter allotting him a coveted guest mix on her XFM program.

Accolades will no doubt continue to pour in throughout 2013, with upcoming appearances on Mad Tech, Purp&Soul and a second EP for Somethinksounds - evidently the scene is set for Artifact, the protagonist in what looks to be an intensely unfurling story.
