Party: Isle of Hope

After a sell-out tour of the UK in 2013 with its former show ‘An Emigrants Farewell’, The Mayo based Atlantic Rhythm Production company have created a brand new Heritage themed Irish Music, Song and Dance called 'Isle of Hope' (Saoirse na hÉireann) which is to tour the UK in March 2017. The show which features a cast of 18 musicians, singers and dancers will make its UK Debut in Liverpool on Friday 10 March at St Michael's Irish Centre as part of the St Patrick's Parade weekend celebrations

The specially created centenary celebration had its sell out world premiere during the recent Mayo Manchester Tradfest in July. It is set in 1916 in an Irish Country Cottage in Mayo and has already won a number of awards and an offer of a tour to Boston in the USA as well as the UK tour. It tells the story of a family growing up in the West of Ireland. The script is brought to life with a series of action backed displays of traditional Irish Dancing which include Barrel dancing, Brush Dancing and Set Dancing. The dancers are accompanied by traditional sean-nos singers who perform a series of classic Irish Ballads which take the audience back to the turn of the last century. The show is backed by a group of accomplished traditional musicians who provide the live tunes for the dancers and singers along with their own specially created traditional compositions.

The talented cast have acquired six world Irish Dancing titles and a number of awards which include the 2016 Ballina Salmon Festival Award and the prestigious 2016 Siamsa Sraide award.

This fantastic event will be supported by Liverpool CCE Musicians
