On Saturday October 3rd, join DEFTMIX for his highly anticipated return to LIVE for VOYAGER.
Deep in space, a golden record is housed in the VOYAGER satellite in hopes of discovery by intelligent lifeforms. On this record are a carefully curated collection of sounds and music from Earth. Created in early 2013, VOYAGER is the brainchild of the infamous DEFTMIX. Inspired by the story of the golden record, he wanted to create a night where the best music - regardless of decade or genre would be played.
DEFTMIX is a 20 year nightlife veteran. In 2001, he moved to NYC to further his DJ career. During his 10 years in the city, he held multiple residencies in Manhattan and the Hamptons; DJing alongside artists such as Mark Ronson, Grand Master Flash, and the late DJ AM. Known for his fearless, frenzied “kitchen sink” style of mixing, DEFTMIX has an uncanny ability to create inclusive DJ sets that touch on nostalgic musical moments from even the most varied of audiences.
