Singer-songwriters Tali and Georgie Fisher are delighted to announce a European summer tour, travelling across Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and France, in June 2016.
Meeting through a mutual friend amidst the vibrant street music scene of Berlin, Tali and Georgie have become firm friends as well as collaborators, and headed out on the road together for an epic three week tour of New Zealand in January this year. They are very excited to re-live the magic on the other side of the globe. Their live show will encompass a completely unique sound for a pair of singer-songwriters, as they will be channeling all of the energy and imagery of their shared electronica roots into a show that demonstrates both vocal agility and impressive musicality of both performers.
The tour will see these two dynamic women taking to the stage as co-headliners, with Georgie on her acoustic guitar and Tali triggering beats on the keys. While the tour will be focused on the recent material from both artists, audiences can also expect some cheeky covers, exclusive new tracks performed for the first time, and the two singers joining each other on stage at moments, making for some beautiful harmonies.
Tali
Internationally considered to be one of the most prolific female MC/Freestylers to emerge from the Kiwi electronic dance music scene, Tali has recently been focusing on becoming one of New Zealand’s most respected singer-songwriters, firstly with 2012’s Of Things to Come and now with the release of her latest offering Wolves. Showcasing her lyrical prowess and powerhouse voice, the record that she describes as 'cinematic soul & gangsta jazz' lends itself to a stunning live show.
Georgie Fisher
Originally hailing from Sydney, Georgie spent the last four years in Europe, discovering a genuine love of live acoustic music through the street music community in Berlin. Her experiences there as a musician and busker led her to writing her ‘alternative soul’ debut album Big City Howl, a record packed to the brim with guitars, upright bass, drums, and organ that are fused together beautifully by her honey-smooth husky voice. A storyteller in every sense of the word, Georgie’s country-soul sound lends itself perfectly to raw, honest, and captivating live performances.
