Edinburgh hit musical comedy written and performed by James Wilson-Taylor.
Join James Wilson-Taylor for a musical history of the redhead as he attempts to end the bullying and rebrand gingers for 2016. Can he make Ed Sheeran less boring? Can he turn Ron Weasley into a sex symbol? And why do people think he's a vampire? James is the writer and performer of Fringe comedy hits Batfan and I Need A Doctor: The Whosical. Other credits include Newsjack (BBC Radio 4 Extra) and the Musical Comedy Awards 2016 (semi-finalist).
Following the sell out successes of I Need A Doctor: The Whosical and Bat-Fan, James Wilson-Taylor premiered his new musical stand up comedy, Ginger is The New Black at Belly Laugh, Cowgate Underbelly in August 2016 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The show was a massive success, with sell-out performances across the run, as well as fantastic reviews and accolades plus great audience reception. It is directed by Owen Lewis (Eric and Little Ern, Joe Stilgoe, The Only Way Is Downton) and produced by Anna Haigh Productions Ltd. (This Will End Badly, I Need A Doctor: The Whosical).
The show is a 60 minute musical stand-up solo comedy written and performed by James Wilson-Taylor, directed by Owen Lewis.
Stay on for an informal post show Q&A with James in the Guildhall Bar, where you can ask any questions that you have about the performance, or the creative processes involved.
