BROOKLYN BIO:
BROOKLYN is a DJ, performer and creative genius who in just two years has made her mark on the Australian dance music scene.
With her distinctive girly street swag style, Brooklyn has claimed every major dance floor across the country from Platinum Nightclub on the Gold Coast, Family Nightclub in Brisbane, down to Marquee and Pacha in Sydney, Billboards in Melbourne and everywhere in between.
Her stellar performance has also taken her across the Pacific Ocean to the biggest venues on the Asian continent in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam to date.
An impressive moment in her career was touring to the North and South of Vietnam with global megastar David Beckham to promote his whiskey, Haig Club.
She hit the summer music festival circuit in 2014 with shows at Stereosonic and Future Music where she shared the main stage with the headliners.
For Brooklyn, performing is a moment in time when she lets go of everything and loses herself in the energy of the crowd. Music has always been her escape and she does the same for her audience, giving them that feeling of breaking free from reality.
The dance floor becomes body-hugging when Brooklyn is in the booth, playing big room, electro-house, the latest anthems and anything with that deep pounding bass. The crowds can’t take their eyes off her, as she is an all-round performer erupting with dance moves any moment she can get away from the decks.
With over 120k followers on social media and growing Brooklyn is known for connecting with her supporters by giving them a glimpse into her personal life on-tour and at home. Some lucky dance floor enthusiasts even get a ‘selfie’ with her as she often spends time greeting the masses after a set.
Brooklyn has set her sights on releasing her own original tracks and touring the USA.
Brooklyn is a promising artist who never stops evolving – “It’s my goal to put on big shows with amazing dancers, banging fireworks and costume changes…I want to do it all,” she said.
PRESS PLAY BIO:
Rueben Heenan aka Press Play, might hail from the small town of Bendigo in rural Victoria, but his national (and international) appeal has seen him outgrow his hometown and relocate to Melbourne to become one of the most in-demand Australian DJs. Armed with an exclusive arsenal of his own remixes and productions, Press Play has enamoured himself to crowds that stretches the breadth of Australia and beyond.
Regularly touring Australia and Asia, Press Play has featured in some of the world’s biggest music festivals playing alongside the world’s biggest acts – most notably he headlined Indonesia’s Holi Water Festival in 2015, and one of the very prestigious stages of 2014′s Future Music Festival. Not content on just playing to huge festival crowds, Press Play is one of the most well-known residents at Melbourne Bounce mecca Cloud Nine, a night which is internationally regarded as the spiritual home of the Melbourne Bounce sound.
On the production front Press Play is carving a huge name for himself with regular signings on the prestigious Ministry of Sound subsidiary Hussle and local label Cloud Nine Recordings. His track ‘Get F*cked Up’ made the Beatport Electro House Top 25 chart and also cracked the overall Top 100 Beatport chart. His latest signings with Ministry of Sound Australia reached #23 with his track ‘Russian Roullette’ and #28 with ‘Bollybounce’. He almost reached top 30 with his tracks ‘Empyrean’ & ‘Clap Your Hands’, a collab with Nathan Thomson. Sidney Samson is also a supporter of Press Pay’s through his ‘Dirty Dutch’ radio show, among many other achievements.
Primed and ready for an international career, it really is no surprise that Press Play debuted at #33 in the 2014 Inthemix Top 50 DJ poll (the annual Australian poll where Australian clubbers cast their vote for their favorite national DJ) and jumped to #16 this year. And with his recent inclusions as the newest member of Australia’s number one nationally syndicated EDM radio show, The Drop, Heenan will be spreading his gospel to a weekly Australian audience of well over 600 000.
